OOTD: Powder Dressing

header2

It’s Friday already!! Where’s the week gone?? This is starting to feel almost like a weekly update in the past couple of weeks… I might as well just do OOTW(eek) instead. lol All jokes aside, I have some exciting plans coming up in the next few days, including another outfit update (YES!! Two in the space of a week) and a little extra something that accompanies so watch this space!!

After my last predominantly black and white OOTD, here you have one with actual colours. On the surface, this seems a pretty simple outfit – a jumper layered on a shirt, thrown in some jeans and shoes, but here I try to make a rather basic ensemble a little bit more interesting by playing with the shades

Jumper: Topman (similar) | Shirt: H&M | Skinnies: Topman | Desert boots: Frank Wright (similar)

I personally adore the soft hue of this Topman jumper – it’s tender but also quite bold at the same time. It’s not your everyday colour and I do understand that it’s not to every man’s taste but it is undoubtedly one of my most daring choices of knitwear and sooooo my cup of tea!! I mean just the colour itself is strong enough to make a statement as far as menswear goes. Plus, the texture feels really lovely. It’s very comfy to wear and amazingly warm even in this single-digit low temperature. On top of all that, it’s on sale for £17 only so it would seem criminal not to really…

Blog7Blog8As you must have noticed, since it’s pretty difficult to miss, I colour-matched the jumper with these Frank Wright desert boots. I have to say it was quite a task finding shoes in this colour… you’ll be surprised how boring mens footwear can be at times. It took me some efforts and several trips around town before I spotted them on the chaotic shelves of TKMaxx – which is a brilliant place for shoes, if you have an hour or five to rummage through their collection. I love it there because it’s like a massive footwear treasure hunt everytime I pop in… you may even find yourself a pair of Marc Jacobs loafers *hint, hint*.

Anyway, I hope you like my outfit and the subtle (or not) pun in the title… and remember to come back in a couple of days for the little surprise I have for you!! :)

Love, Oliver

Well done for finding your shoes, I never find anything whenever I go into TK Maxx! Your jumper looks really comfy, it’s a gorgeous colour and goes well with the denim.

Thanks! You need a lot of luck in TKMaxx but I’m really loving the colour of the jumper and shoes – not easy to match top and footwear, especially in an unusual colour like this… Kudos to myself! lol

This is a great look! I love how the shade of the jumper looks so clean with the white shirt underneath. The shoes are awesome, I’m imagining of bunch of ways to style them in my head right now.
