Fashion Outfits

First things first, thanks so much to everyone who took their time and entered my giveaway in collaboration with French online retailer, Videdressing (click to visit).

Every entry and Follow has been received and very much appreciated, I now have the name of the winner to be announced later in this post!!

So in the last couple of posts, I’ve been chatting all things beyond but not unrelated to fashion in various aspects, with this outfit however, I really want to focus on the most important thing…

heartfelt002Jacket: H&M | Jumper: H&M | Shirt: Topman | Necktie: Vintage | Trousers: ASOS | Shoes: Piper (similar)

The clothes.

This outfit is all about the texture dimensions – wholesome merino wool carefully layered on top of novel print while rigid leather dots around here and there. I even experimented a little with an uncharted territory of mine, satin, which I’ve aways had my reservations about due to the material’s loud nature but this H&M bomber turned my attitude towards this glossy weave a complete 180°!

After seeing how well these pictures have turned out, though not without difficulty considering the sun is never out for more than a few minutes a day in Manchester, I might just make regular use of this eyecatching material in my looks to inject a bit of oomph.

As a man who I like to believe is quite clearly into his clothes, it may surprise you to know that this is my only tie. Not because I don’t wear ties often, which I don’t, but I have yet to find one that can merely even match, let alone replace how awesome this one is.

Alright, alright, I’ve teased you for long enough so here you are, the winner of my Videdressing giveaway is…

GILLIAN COOKE!! An email is on the way to you regarding further info I need from you so keep an eye out!!

I can’t thank you all enough for the support but for now, only Gillian gets to enjoy this fabulous prize and I hope you bag some nice treaties for yourself! For those who didn’t win, please don’t be disheartened and make damn sure that you keep checking back for more goodies because I may or may not have another massive one planned for the not-so-instant future… Just sayin’! 😉

Love, Oliver

I love this outfit – the colours, the textures, THOSE SHOES!

Great to see the all-black colour palette has been lifted with the turquoise – very nice!

What a wonderful look, Oliver; the layers and the quirky print are insanely good! I’ve been meaning to incorporate satin into looks as well but I’m afraid of what would happen if I did (e.g look like I just woke up in my nightie, etc). You look so good, though!

Thanks so much for the comment, May! I was careful not to look too cheap like it’s so easy to do with satin… I’m sure you like the outfit though!! 😀
