This outfit is brought to you by Coachella… or the not-so-authentic understanding of it. 这张造型帖搞不懂究竟是由科切拉音乐节还是我很对其很二手的熟悉而为你所创的…
Confession time: as much I love music, I have never been to a festival. I prefer to enjoy my music on a clear head and not let my pleasure influenced by alcohol or strangers’ questionable personal hygiene habits, as I’ve come to learn that some festival ravers often go for days without having a wash. That’s just not my style, but I’ve always been interested in festival fashion so here’s an outfit inspired by the phenomenon that is Coachella.
As far as menswear goes, I associate distressed denim to festivals so I’ve chosen that as the main focus here. Conveniently, this jacket hails from H&M’s official Coachella collection, but a good denim jacket that fits true to size is seasonless and can transcend time and gender. It is not available online but I’m sure you can still find them in store.
The ripped jeans contribute another element of distressed denim to this outfit. I don’t care if skinnies are not ‘in’ because as far as I’m concerned, silhouette will never be ‘out of fashion’. Plus, for someone verging on vertically challenged (at 5’7), it’s one way I add height to my appearance. BOOM!! Major style tip right thurrr.
I accessorise with a scarf purchased on a trip to Amsterdam many years ago, that holds significant sentimental value that I never quite had the chance to wear. It’s so old that the label ain’t even on it anymore so I can’t tell you what it’s made of but the texture is silky so it adds a certain flamboyance and flow to the outfit that catches the wind nicely.
Boots seem to be the universal go-to footwear for both men and women so I’ve gone for these black Chelseas. Another tip for those who stack up a little shorter than they perhaps would’ve liked, wear shorter boots as they don’t take away as much length from your legs, thus creating the illusion that you’re taller than you really are.
Today is actually the last day of Coachella as the post goes live. It’s upsetting to think that another year is passing by where I don’t get to experience this celebration of music, fashion and arts in various forms, however briefly I might have survived it. 今天是2016年科切拉音乐节的最后一天。最算我不是非常赞同音乐节的概念，每当想到又一过年我没机会经历一下科切拉的气氛，心里面少少总算还是有点悲哀… 科切拉，我们来年再约呗！
So instead of the views of the scorching Californian desert, you get to enjoy this Mancunian cityscape with fluffy white clouds and blue sky (for a change!) I hope you’ve liked this post and the outfit, please let me know your thoughts below!! 虽然你们没得看加州的热情沙漠，但是至少我们还有这片曼城的市容和非常难得的蓝天白云。记得要留言，让我知道你对这造型的感想哦！下一帖我们再见啦！拜拜！
