Not long ago at a work event, I wore a suit jacket for the first time paired with some almost-matching smart trousers, and the experience has inspired to create this outfit. In this post, I like to show you guys how I would interpret modern gents tailoring, my way.
In case you haven’t noticed, I’m not a three-piece kind of dude… I have never worn a suit in the history of the blog, probably never will. For someone who claims to be into fashion, this is sort of a crime but me and suits don’t gel. I would definitely stick out like a sore thumb at Pitti Uomo, by miles, but that doesn’t deter me from experimenting…
First off, I substitute a made-to-measure jacket with this oversized number from ASOS that I’m absolutely obsessed with. The fabric has a silky quality that flows~ thus giving off a sheen that I adore, and I think it looks quite beautiful in pictures. 首先，我把传统的西装外套转换成了这件ASOS的过大码外套。我喜欢它的元素在于布质的光滑表面在微风里呈现的丝绸般的飘逸和光泽。
Besides the outerwear, certain others elements are also kept within the formal frame of mind, i.e. the (cropped) trousers and loafers while everything else in contrast is pretty cash’. Finally, to feel complete as a wannabe 9-to-5er, I finish off with a leather clutch from Zara. It’s a very classy, modern alternative to a satchel and for its modest price tag, it actually looks and feels rather premium.
I hope you like my take on a formal look. I’m aware that it’s not necessarily what a normal person would wear to attend a conference as such, it is more of a streetstyle interpretation of it. 我希望你们喜欢这个造型。常人可能会认为这并不是传统西式的打扮…没错，我其实并没说想要说服任何人打扮成这样去出席公事会议，这只不过是我把西方绅士和小奥个人街头风格混合出来的效果。
