It’s no secret that suit and tie aren’t my thing. I don’t feel fully myself in them. I’m convinced that I look like a clown when dressed head to toe in tailoring. However, that doesn’t stop me from experimenting with some elements of tailoring in my outfits now and again, which is exactly what I’ve done for this post with a little help from Scotts Menswear.
As soon as I received these shoes, I knew that there was only one way to style ’em : monochrome and minimal (which to be fair isn’t that unusual) with a little formal wear sprinkled on top… or to be absolutely pedantic, bottom.
These ASOS tailored trousers aren’t new to the blog – check out their previous appearance here where I attempted to interpret tailoring… those were the days, eh? This time around, I’m outright
stealing taking inspiration from tailoring and applying it to these modern Adidas Originals Los Angeles.
Never have I ever imagined mesh trainers would suit me so well and now I’m questioning perhaps I might have to reevaluate my fashion sense, by miles. This is part of the reason why I enjoy about working with different brands because I’m constantly learning what works on me and what doesn’t as I get exposed to various types of fashion. So guys, the moral of the story is : in order to find and define your personal style, keeping an open mind to try all kinds of stuff is a must.
How about you? What have you had to do to realise your own style? Share your stories, however crazy they may be in the comments below and I’ll see you in my next post. Until then, stay flawless!
